This week, Anna spent three days working in Ely Cathedral recording her debut organ album for Signum records. The album is the culmination of several years work on some organ transcriptions, including Anna's own transcriptions of Britten's Four Sea Interludes and Messiaen's Vocalise. Anna is particularly grateful to the Britten estate and Boosey & Hawkes for permitting the recording and being so supportive.
This recording is the second album Anna has worked on with producer Adrian Peacock, and they were joined by engineer Mike Hatch with whom Anna worked for Christopher Tin's 'To Shiver the Sky' recording. They were also joined for the sessions by the 15-year-old organist Anna Hallett who turned pages, assisted with registration and even played the odd note! The recording will be released in September 2021 on Signum records.
